Who we are
The Painting Hub was created by Daniel Szypka and Trevor Wallace with the foresight to change the way consumers hire tradesmen. With a background in the painting services industry, we have decided to start here, bringing transparency to the often difficult and confusing task of seeking quotes and ultimately deciding who deserves your hard earned money.
Since inception, we have grown into a full suite residential, commercial and industrial painting & coatings business. We continue to work on large and complex projects, with some of the biggest general contractors and clients in the country. Our team and skills continue to grow, adding a multitude of different painting disciplines to our services, including but not limited to, commercial painting, epoxy application, electrostatic painting, and specialty coatings.
Why us?
There are often two challenging scenarios that affect both parties in a traditional quoting process: painters are summoned to deliver quotes without the customer’s intention of hiring them, or customers find themselves stranded at home for hours on end waiting for that late contractor to arrive. The Painting Hub has the solution saving both parties time and money!
Daniel Szypka – President
As President of The Painting Hub, Dan as he is referred to around the office, is a graduate of the Ted Rogers School of Business at Ryerson University with a passion for business and sales. As an entrepreneur at heart, Dan is experienced in the fast pace world of sporting goods sales, travelling throughout North America visiting clients and developing lasting relationships in the SME category. Using this experience, Dan understands the importance of quality service, whether a small residential client or a long term commercial contract, and the importance of working closely with our clients to ensure an all-encompassing service. These are lessons passed down to our team, and the guiding principles The Painting Hub was founded on.
When not working, Dan can be found with friends and family on his boat, at the ball park enjoying a Jay’s game in the summer, or around town walking his English Bulldog, Wendel. As an involved member in minor hockey, Dan has officiated higher levels hockey for 18 years, and continues to help with the Town of Caledon Minor Hockey Association in the development of young officials.
Trevor Wallace – Chief Operations Manager
As Chief Operations Manager, Trevor has a keen eye for detail and an uncanny ability to lead a team to ensure a project is completed on time and on budget. As a graduate of Ryerson University’s school of Architecture, Trevor’s background in architecture has allowed him to review some of the most complex projects to come across his desk with confidence. As a real motivator, Trevor has the ability to get the best out of our teams; leading with respect and giving our professional staff the ability to make real-time decisions on the spot, utilizing their experience to produce the best results with added efficiencies.
When not working, Trevor can be found enjoying time at the cottage, playing guitar, working in his garage shop, or flying racing drones. Trevor has been involved and continues to be involved with officiating minor hockey in various leagues within and around the GTA for the past 10 years.
